TRUE TRUE TRUE, MOST AFRICANS ARE FOLLOWERS!
SEE U SOON IN LAGOS NIGERIA SPORA.
Love your talk show! Pls keep it up.
THIS IS REAL!! Sporah, in this multidimensional institution called 'Global Village, there is no perfect fabric or cloak that you can use to determine the state of mind of any cultural group, or institution, unless you move to the fringes. The world is getting closer or smaller by the minute, and people are learning to be multitask, multilingual, multicultural, etc, and in all its complexities, there are great levels of dynamic influence giving birth to a new breed of tolerance and interculture from the young generation. Ideologically, you may be begging the question, because, now, everybody is following somebody. The appeal or the zest for knowledge is articulated in people who are prepared to improve their lifestyles, and also become just people of this open societies. I don't really know from what angle you are drawing or basing your argument, but it is high time Africa must come out of its superstitious world and join the free world, where we don't have to use machetes in the farms, but be able to build our own tractors. Africa, where we don't have to burn innocent lives for fear of practicing witchcraft. A new Africa, where we learn to produce to be self-sufficient, and process final products from our industries, rather than being tagged 'consumers for life'. If you want to follow or copy another, the direction where you are heading should be the prime concern and not the attribute. We should as Africans follow the footsteps of the progressive societies, and stop rationing basic social amenities like water, electricity, etc and learn from innovation of applying solar energy, which is free to our advantage to light our homes. Clean environment, competitive education, strong leadership, innovative technology, etc, should be the new drive. We should stop basking on empty pride of frivolous traditions that have not freed us from wanton lack of necessities and abject poverty. Isn't it disappointing to point the wrong finger? I rest my case!
